Elevate your branding with durable custom heat transfer patches
Heat transfer patches deliver clean, professional logos and graphics on t-shirts, hoodies, sportswear, workwear and accessories. They provide a smooth finish without stitching and perform well through repeated washing and wear.
Heat transfer patches bond detailed designs permanently to fabric using heat and pressure, creating a smooth finish without stitching. Frameless, as a heat transfer patch manufacturer, helps ensure strong adhesion and wash durability. Fabric compatibility and application parameters are key factors to test early in development.

Heat transfer patches are often chosen for shirts, hats and other products that need a neat, well-defined trim for identification, decoration, or collection detail. They work well on everyday apparel, performance wear and accessories where a clean applied finish and reliable wear are important.
Heat transfer badges can be made in TPU, silicone, PU, aluminium, polyester, and other material combinations, depending on the required look and performance. Frameless offers recycled or lower-impact material choices such as recycled polyester.
When creating custom heat transfer patches, the main considerations include the fabric, intended use and the heat settings the garment can tolerate, as well as whether the badge needs a smooth, reflective or raised effect. A good choice also depends on placement and wash performance.
Iron on transfer patches create a clean, low-profile finish that keeps branding firmly attached without adding bulk or stitch lines. They can improve appearance, support clear identification, and offer a smoother feel against the skin.
Heat transfer patches are washable and dry-cleanable when applied correctly. The adhesive bonds securely into the fabric, helping the badge remain flat and intact through repeated wear and machine washing. Always carry out a wash test on the specific fabric and transfer combination before moving into bulk production.
Heat press badges work best on stable fabrics such as cotton, polyester, and standard blends for shirts, as well as many performance fabrics for hats. They are not suitable for fabrics with high spandex content, silk, wool, waterproof coatings, PU, foam, flocked or brushed surfaces. Test the badge on the actual fabric first, as heat and pressure can damage delicate or heat-sensitive materials.
Iron on transfer badges perform well on sportswear and functional wear when applied to compatible synthetic or blended fabrics. They offer excellent flexibility, strong adhesion, and durability through repeated washing and movement. For best results on stretchy performance fabrics, choose TPU or silicone-based transfers and carry out proper bonding tests to ensure long term performance.
Heat transfer patches support clothing recycling since they can be made from the same material as the garment, such as recycled polyester or TPU. Hence, the badge does not need to be separated from the fabric at the end of life, simplifying the recycling process and reducing contamination.
Before starting wholesale production, perform a bonding test during sampling on the actual garment fabric using your custom heat transfer patch. Record the optimal temperature, pressure, and time, then check for adhesion strength, appearance, and any fabric damage.
